Cap07: 1950's Tape-Seam Newsboy Cap (Sold)

Here is a beautifully proportioned newsboy cap from the 1950's. The fabric is in fantastic condition with no wear anywhere. A few of the fabric 'tape' seams inside the cap have come untucked (see pics), but the stitching is unmarred and it's a strong and fine lid.

This would have been a pretty inexpensive model back in the day - it has a vinyl instead of leather sweatband, and I'm pretty sure it's not 100% wool - but the camel color is dynamite and it wears so well, as you can see in the images.

Although the cap is tagged a 7 3/8", it is slightly smaller than that, closer to a 7 1/4".
It fits my 7 3/8" head just slightly snugly.

NOTE: The image below of me sporting this newsboy with my amber glasses and cream shirt is closest to the actual color of this cap.

Like all the caps I sell, this has been carefully washed to remove dirt and oils and the cap reshaped to its original glory.
SIZE: Large - 7 1/4 to 7 3/8"  /  58/59cm  /  Approx. 22 3/4"
(For information on measuring your head, please click here.)
Cap dimensions: 10" diameter / Brim length at center 2"

$US59.00  SOLD
